Alex Stewart India's experienced marine surveyors are highly qualified to determine the cause, nature, extend and recommended report of damages to marine vessels, equipment and cargo for a variety of clients worldwide consisting of financial institutions, insurance companies, attorneys and vessel owners. Our expertise includes a wide range of cargo by sea – including general dry cargo, food stuffs (fresh, chilled and frozen), dangerous goods, liquid products, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, machinery and bulk grain/minerals, damage of which was attributable not only to transportation accidents but also to natural disaster, typhoon etc.

Our survey reports ascertain the nature, extent and causes of the damage, help to mitigate the loss, and issue timely and coherent survey reports to applicants. Our services include preparation of repair specifications, soliciting of bids, negotiating costs, and acting as owner's representative through the repair period. Additionally, we can serve as an adjuster for cargo losses and assist in the final disposition to minimize losses through depreciation and/or salvage sales.
